This month saw Milo grow from being
a tiny newborn to a rather more robust baby boy; Raffy and Monty remain
fascinated by him and always want to cuddle him given the chance.
Apart from various weekend gatherings and a boat trip, the other big
event this month was Raffy starting school - he looked so grown up
in his uniform as he went off for his first day. It was emotional

Milo aged about four weeks, looking very serene and relaxed. |

his lunchbox. |

Our little boy looking rather pensive on his way to school. |

My family mucking about while we were trying to take some nice portraits.
The moral of this story is - if you're trying to take formal pictures
involving a number of boisterous boys, you need a proper background

One weekend we had a chance to go out on Guy's speedboat - I took
Raffy and Eddie came alog as well. It was an excellent, if rather
eventful trip. Here we see Woody, Rafferty and Eddie enjoying the
ride out along the river from the dock in Sandwich. |

Raffy and Eddie on the boat trip. It was a fine day - just right for
messing around in boats.

The trip became rather more exciting when the engine failed and we
had to moor up in the middle of nowhere to try and get it going...
the boys explored this derelict jetty. |

Raffy climbs back into the boat. Luckily he was quite well behaved
about wearing his life jacket. |

Rafferty looks on while Guy takes the 80hp Suzuki engine to pieces
to try and get it going. He didn't. In the end we managed to borrow
a tiny 4hp outboard from a passing boat which got us home a little
more slowly than we had arrived. It was still a great day out, and
we had to be thankful we hadn't actually made it out to sea before
the engine went! |

A very relaxed Rafferty in our front garden. |
