| This month saw the first of the really
hot weather of the year. The season of summer barbeques and children's
parties began and free time at the weekends became scarce - not complaining,
mind you! We also managed the first few days at the beach this year
- Broadstairs was becoming a frequent destination as our friends Claire
and Guy live there and there are some fantastic beaches... |

On a sunny afternoon to visit the Holts while they were renting a
bungalow in Warlingham (during their move to Cambridgshire); we had
a lovely barbeque and the children enjoyed running around the large
and nicely kept garden. |

...but he gets away again and the game goes on. On this afternoon
I was trying out the 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS zoom I had just bought; great
lens which was really quick to focus and got me some lovely sharp
pictures. |

I had bought the boys a radio controlled monster truck which quickly
became a favourite with all of us. One morning when Vickie and Richard
were visiting we decided to try a few stunts. Here the boys were enjoying
lying on the ground while the car jumped over them... we all had to
take turns at this!

Took this by accident on a Friday gathering on the beach at Tankerton.
I was taking pictures of Raffy, Michael and Emily paddling in the
water, when Monty suddenly dived in to my right! Had to quickly dump
the camera and fish him out again...
