Another busy month - in early May
he went back to Portugal for a week to visit Lady Annabelle and had
a lovely time playing with Oliver's toys. He can stand up by himself
now and has taken his first steps, although it will be a few weeks
before he is actually walking, I expect. He says 'Mama', 'Dada' and
'No no no no!' (this last when we are trying to change his nappy)
and finally sleeps through the night, once we'd plucked up the resolve
to go through the 'controlled crying' routine with him. Advice to
new parents: it works! |

large, high-quality pictures, this page may take almost a minute to

but please have patience with the rest! |

On his third trip to Portugal, in early May. Here he is trying a ride
in one of the parks in Cascais. |

Rafferty had a lovely time playing with Oliver's toys while he stayed
Chez Groombridge and had great fun on this big green tractor. |

In our back garden in Canterbury: Raffy discovered my mountain bike
and managed to get his hands nice and black on the wheels! |

Raffy discovered that our patio is one big gravel pit, and that this
is fantastic to play with. Digging up the strawberry plants in the
pots was another favourite game. |

Oliver's toy gun and action man proved very interesting! Some might
argue that this is a bad idea, but I think boys will be boys and you'd
have a hard time stopping them... |
