Over the second and third years, things settled down a little after the frenetic socializing
of year 1. After all, we had to fit a little medicine into our medical degrees at some stage. In the second year, Phil,
Tim Hucker, John Bevan, Tara and I shared a house in Bermondsey, which Phil's parents had bought. We had fun doing the
place up, and many interesting times were had there, along with all the usual dramas of shared student accommodation.
In my third year I moved back into university halls to save some money, as I wasn't getting a grant and so had to pay
my own way through the course. I spent a few months at St Christopher's House in Bermondsey, and finally ended up at the
legendary Ferndale Road in Clapham, where I lived till graduation. |
