| We began our wedding celebrations the day before, on the Thursday afternoon. People began
to arrive just after lunch, with my best man Nick Sherwin being the first on our doorstep. The weekend began with a few
drinks in our garden, and in the early evening we moved to the bar at the Chaucer Hotel, where I was to spend my last
night as a single man (in the hotel, as opposed to the bar, but it was a close call). |
