Gustav Strandvik's LAN party...   Download times...
On the 5th April a friend of mine from work, Gustav Strandvik, held a LAN party at his house in Canterbury (while his extremely tolerant wife Brenda went out for the day!). Ten of us - a motley collection of medics and paramedics - pitched up with our PCs at about 9am and set up a network before getting down to a few good games of Half-Life. Later that day we moved on to Counter-Strike, and after only a few network hiccups we had some great games with that as well. Gustav hopes to hold another event in the next few months...   Please note that in order to present large, high-quality pictures, this page may take almost a minute to download completely. The first few pictures will be visible quickly, but please have patience with the rest!

Getting set up in the morning.
Gustav's dining-room table groans under the weight of several 19" monitors, as the downstairs network is established.

Gustav's hand
Arty and pretentious shot of Gustav's hand.

Another arty and pretentious shot of the network hub.
