On the 13th September we flew out to Lisbon for a relaxing break with Jo, James and their
family. Raffy was less that three months old but the journey went very smoothly, even with the troubles in the US. An
excellent time was had Chez Groombridge and we even managed to drive to the Algarve for three days to attend the wonderful
wedding of Filipa and Max. It was the first time Jo had seen Rafferty, and we got to meet Jo's daughter Annabelle too.

Brightly coloured rowing boats seen on the seafront of Cascais. The weather was like this every day for the first week
of our holiday, before the Portuguese winter set in, and it rained a bit. |
James had just bought a Playstation 2 (for Oliver, you understand...) and Rafferty got some practice at this essential
life skill. |

when he was a baby. Raffy is about three months old here. |

Annabelle and Rafferty are normally fairly content, as babies go, but on occasion they could really let rip. This time
they managed a bit of a harmony... |
