This eventful decade saw Mum, Nan, Grandad & I move to North Devon, where I spent
most of my childhood; Mum married Dad, Vickie arrived, as well as Rachel and Jaccqueline (my cousins) and we all grew
up. In 1979 we went to live in Dubai for five years, but kept our house in Devon to come back to. |

Jenny Horton, Nan and Rachel on the far right, who would be about 2 years old. |

1973: Jayne Horton (Mum) married Michael Szar (Dad) in September 1973 at the Civic Centre in Barnstaple,
North Devon. They chose to combine their names, which is, of course, how we ended up as Horton-Szars. |

1973: Mum & Dad's wedding day again. From the left, we have: Barbara Szar, Michael Horton-Szar, Dan
Horton-Szar, Jayne Horton-Szar, Joan Horton and Alfred Horton (my grandad). |

would have been only a few months old. |
